We are a non-denominational, nonprofit organization that was founded in 2002 in Londrina, Southern Brazil. Our objective is to collaborate with pastors and church leaders in church management and leadership.
Most pastors and leaders in Brazil have little access to information, training and tools for church management and leadership. Most seminaries and bible or theology colleges offer only basic knowledge of administration. Usually, these classes are not enough to prepare pastors and leaders to face the daily challenges in their ministries.
At Instituto Jetro our motto is: "Pastoring with the Heart, Leading with Excellence," and our inspiration comes from two heroes of the faith, David and Moses. In Psalm 78:72, we read about David's integrity of heart and the "skillfulness of his hands" to lead with excellence. In Exodus 18, Moses' father-in-law, Jethro, gave administrative advice which transformed Moses' ministry and leadership. For this reason we have named our institute in honor of Jethro.
Our desire is to see Brazilian churches strengthened by excellence in their organization and growing through high integrity leadership in all areas of church and ministry, not only in spiritual issues.
Our mission
To develop pastors and leaders´ competencies in such a way that it leads to the application of best practices in management and leadership. This is done through communicating and sharing knowledge of strategic areas for churches and other Christian organizations.

To be recognized as a national leader in terms of information, training, tools and spiritual growth through excellence in church management and leadership.
